This README file documents the naming convention used for Vassberg's DPW-7 multiblock/overset grid system. Characters 1-4 describe the member (size) of the grid family. L1.T: Refers to the Tiny mesh (Level 1) L2.C: Refers to the Coarse mesh (Level 2) L3.M: Refers to the Medium mesh (Level 3) L4.F: Refers to the Fine mesh (Level 4) L5.X: Refers to the eXtrafine mesh (Level 5) L6.X: Refers to the Ultrafine mesh (Level 6) Characters 6-8 describe the dynamic-pressure influence on the Aero-Elastic shape. NoQ: Refers to the unloaded, undeflected geometry LoQ: Refers to the Low dynamic-pressure conditions of ETW-Run182 HiQ: Refers to the High dynamic-pressure conditions of ETW-Run237 Characters 10-12 indicate grid type and number of zones. MB5: Refers to point-matched multi-block grid with 5 zones. OS4: Refers to point-matched overset bridging grids with 4 zones. Note: A complete overset grid is comprised of both the MB5+OS4 plot3d grids. Characters 13-16 indicate that the file format is plot3d. 64-bit Reals, Multi-Zone, 3D, No Iblanks For example: 1234567890123456 L3.M.NoQ.MB5.p3d is the Medium Gridsize, Undeflected, Multiblock Grid, of 5 Zones L3.M.NoQ.OS4.p3d is the Medium Gridsize, Undeflected, Overset Bridges, of 4 Zones Additional information is provided in the following file.
