NOTE! 20 April 2009 The following files were replaced with corrected boundary conditions: dpw-wb0_med-7Mc_5.tgz dpw-wb0_med-8Mc_5.tgz dpw-wbt0_crs-3.5Mc_5.tgz dpw-wbt0_med-10Mc_5.tgz dpw-wbt0_med-11Mc_20.tgz dpw-wbt2dn_med-10Mc_5.tgz dpw-wbt2up_med-10Mc_5.tgz All files now should have correct boundary conditions. 17 April 2009 Errors were discovered in the boundary condition specification in at least 2 of the grids in the current directory. In the *.mapbc file(s), a BC type of 5 was incorrectly specified for the farfield boundary faces. This number is incorrect, as it indicates an inviscid (slip) wall. The number should have been 3 (=farfield BC) instead. As a result of this error, the associated *.cgns file(s) also have incorrect boundary conditions for the farfield faces (BCWallInviscid, when they should read BCFarField instead). These errors can be corrected by the user by editing the *.mapbc file(s) and/or the *.cgns file(s). The latter editing requires adfviewer software. We hope to correct these errors soon. DPW4 Grid Files (February 19, 2009) The tar files below include the GridTool restart file (rst), VGRID files (bbx, igs, d3m, mapbc, cogsg, front, poin1, bc), and CGNS files (cgns). These grids are tetrahedral and for cell-based solvers (containing approximately 3.5, 10, 35, and 100 million cells). For VGRID file formats, refer to the VGRID_FILE_FORMATS.txt file. Grids are also provided in the CGNS format. For CGNS file format, see http://cgns.sourceforge.net/ All of these grids were created using GridTool Version 4.2 and the 32- and 64-bit versions of VGRID/POSTGRID 4.2. There are some volume and surface sources used in these grids, so if the grids are regenerated with an earlier version of VGRID, the restart files will have to be modified. All grids but the last listed were generated for a Reynolds number of 5 million based on the reference chord. 1) dpw-wb0_med-7Mc_5.tgz Tail off, size = medium. Grid at the tail location is coarse. Re=5M, dy=0.003011. 2) dpw-wb0_med-8Mc_5.tgz Tail off, size = medium. Grid at the tail location is fine and compatible with other grids with tail on. Re=5M, dy=0.003011. 3) dpw_wbt0_crs-3.5Mc_5.tgz Tail on at 0 degree, size = coarse. Re=5M, 0.00508. 4) dpw-wbt0_med-10Mc_5.tgz Tail on at 0 degree, size = medium. Re=5M, dy=0.001671. 9) dpw-wbt0_med-11Mc_20.tgz Tail on at 0 degree, size = medium. Re=20M, dy=0.000834.
